AMRAP: As Many Rounds or Reps as Possible. AMRAP means to complete a circuit or workout as many times as possible, within an allotted amount of time.

BOX: The CrossFit BOX is referring to the gym, or the area in which you workout.

DU: Double Under. While jumping rope, a double under refers to letting the rope pass beneath your feet twice, as opposed to once, when you’re in the air.

EMOM: Every Minute on the Minute

Hero WOD: A Workout Of The Day named after servicemen, policemen, and firefighters, who have died in the line of duty, as a reminder of their sacrifice and service.

PR: Personal Record. Whenever someone achieves a new personal record on a certain lift or movement.

RFT: Rounds for Time

RX: This term simply means performing all movements at the prescribed weight and number of reps.

Scaled: To scale the prescribed weight according to the personal fitness level.

SU: Single Under. While jumping rope, a single under refers to letting the rope pass beneath your feet once while you are in the air.

Tabata: This refers to a work-rest method of exercise. For example you can work for 20 seconds, then rest for 10 seconds for a total of 8 intervals.
